Concept Idea for Opening Sequences

Idea 4

GENRE

The genre of this sequence would be sci/fi or perhaps fantasy as it involves a character shapeshifting, it would mainly be sci-fi however as this transformation occurs through some sort of machine/mysterious technology, rather than through the character's powers. 

OVERVIEW

This sequence opens on a girl standing in front of an odd looking door, she takes a deep breath before opening it and stepping inside, into some sort of small closet, the door shuts and we soon see a very bright white light through the door crack being emitted from inside it, along with a low humming sound gradually getting louder. Eventually the light and humming sound cuts out, the door is opened and it releases some smoke and we just see the girls' legs stepping out. She begins to walk forwards towards a mirror as the camera follows her upwards to reveal a completely different girl with another hair colour (for example a red head to be more distinct). She checks her appearance in the mirror and plays with her hair a little before receiving a text message, the message reads 'I can't wait to see you', followed by 'don't tell my girlfriend ahah', she looks up from her phone at a photo on the table of her original self with a guy (probably the same guy texting her), they are smiling and have their arms around each other, they appear to be in a happy relationship in that photo. The girl looks upset as she angrily flips the photo onto the table face down, she texts back 'I won't', the guy then texts 'I've always preferred (redheads?) anyway', she looks a bit disgusted by this comment and mumbles 'ew' to herself. She then stands up to reach inside her closet and take out a gun, she makes sure it is loaded before hiding it under the waistband of her trousers and putting a coat on, she gives herself one last look in the mirror before leaving the shot.

THE REST OF THE FILM

The rest of the film would start at the beginning, introducing her and her boyfriend, and how their relationships appears to be fragile and somewhat toxic as she suspects that he is cheating on her. It would also reveal how she managed to get a shapeshifting machine of sorts in her possession and how she uses it to find out more about her boyfriend's supposed affair, and how she plans to get her revenge against him (hence the gun).
