Process of making my Storyboard

Process of making my Storyboard

My assigned sections of the storyboard were the shots in very beginning and the very end, so I had to consider striking imagery or interesting perspectives to draw in the viewer, and then leave them with a satisfying ending (a cool serial killer design and lot of blood).

Drawing is one of my passions so I found this entire process very enjoyable, but I tend to have a bad habit of drawing small sections of a while drawing in full detail before I even have a rough sketch for the rest of it, so I had to try to unlearn that habit as this type of art relies a lot on planning, and I was also obviously on a bit of a time budget so saving effort was key.

                                  Example of bad habit;                              After taking my own advice;

An infamous struggle for most amateur artists is drawing hands, and the first section I had to draw involved a few of shots with specific hand positions that I couldn't quite pull off from the top of my head, so I had to take some photos of my own hands in admittedly awkward poses as a reference;

As I was finishing up, I made sure to very roughly edit all of my work together to see if it was flowing smoothly and whether or not any shots looked out of place, but I ended up happy with my progress and didn't feel the need to go back in and re-draw a shot.
